CBS growth 2/1/11
Hello again.
I have attached a few photographs of my Banded Coral Shrimp.
It appears to have a growth on it (Left side about center body,
flesh colored) and I am wondering if you can help me out. It does
not act sick and has molted several times about once a month or
so.
I was wondering if I should try to capture the shrimp and attempt
to remove the growth, or leave it be.
<I would leave it be>
Or remove the shrimp altogether and humanely destroy it.
<Mmm, I would leave this shrimp be as well>
I don't want any of my fish to get sick or catch whatever it
has if it is a parasite, etc.
Thanks for all that you do.
<Looks to be some sort of tumorous growth. Highly doubtful
that it is "catching" or detrimental to your other
livestock. And it may resolve itself spontaneously. Do you add
iodide/ate to your system, foods at times?
