Genus Sinularia: Thin flattened sheets to knobby fingers, to
almost flaccid tree-like branchings... Unlike at times very similar-appearing
Lobophytum spp., Sinularia colonies are covered with ONE identical short
retractable polyp type.
Sinularia spp. Many not identified to species
members of this genus exist and are casually retailed as such. This
one in Cebu, Philippines. |

Sinularia gardineri forms flat colonies with uprising trunks
that in turn subdivide up to six times, grey to cream in color. This one at
night in the Red Sea. |
