Genus Plerogyra Mile Edwards and Haime
1848, Bubble, Bladder, Grape Coral. Characterized by their colonies
being covered by oblong bubble-like vesicles by day, tentacles by
night. Red Sea 08 |

(Thunberg 1787), the Striped Eel Catfish. Indo-Pacific; Red Sea to
Micronesia. Only tropical reef catfish species. To a foot in
length. Dangerously venomous. Keep hands clear when netting,

Pocillopora damicornis (Linnaeus 1758),
Cauliflower Coral. The most common member of the family offered to
the aquarium trade. Compact clumps of up to a few meters height.
Verrucae and branches blend together. Of varying branch thickness
(thinner in greater depths, less water motion areas). Several
colors: overall brown, pink cream, greenish. Red Sea 08 |

& Haime 1860, Brush or Antler Coral. Distinctive large, upright
branches with light-colored ends. A common species over its wide
