Cypraea tigris Linnaeus 1758, the Tiger Cowry. Too common as a "curio", this is no doubt the best know Cowry (or at least most recognized as a sea animal in the group). South Africa, Red Sea, Hawai'i, Society Islands. To four inches shell length. Fiji 2017 

 Diatoms are single celled (though some are colonial) silicate skeleton based algae; only able to be certifiably identified via microscopic examination. Macroscopically in reefs and aquariums they often resemble a gelatinous mass of fine filaments; often glommed on to other algae and vascular plants. Roatan 2017, Di pic.

Valonia macrophysa, Elongated Sea Pearls. To 3/4" in diameter. Spherical to elongated shiny "balls" of silvery appearance that grow in clusters. Here in Roatan 2017.
