Chromis insolata (Cuvier 1830), the Olive Chromis. An incidental
Damsel shipped out of the tropical western Atlantic from time to time. To
about five inches maximum length. In Cozumel and adult one in 2016. |

Pseudupeneus maculatus (Bloch 1793), the Spotted Goatfish.
Tropical west Atlantic, including the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico. To
about a foot in length. An occasional catch/import for the aquarium
interest. An excited one in Cozumel 2016 |

Halichoeres radiatus (Linnaeus 1758), the Puddingwife Wrasse (2),
is another old standard from the tropical west Atlantic. Good looking
when young, keep in mind this fish grows to twenty inches in the wild. A

Thalassoma bifasciatum (Bloch 1791), the Bluehead Wrasse (2), one
of the most common reef fishes of the tropical west Atlantic. Females
and juveniles yellow above, white below, with some dark markings. Black
and white striped juveniles in Cozumel 2016.
