Platax orbicularis
(Forsskal, 1775), the Orbiculated, or Round Batfish is the
"ugly-duckling" of the genus as young, being very plain
brown, with some black spots, and the least tall as a juvenile. Ras

getting cleaned by a Labroides dimidiatus in Ras 2010

(Cuvier 1831), the Ear-Spot Angelfish (1). Found from the southern
end of the Red Sea, down Africa's east coast to South Africa,
but rarely in the trade, and that's a shame. To about thirteen
inches in length. A gorgeous specimen at IZOO 2010
