Ctenochaetus marginatus (Valenciennes 1835).
This Pan-Pacific (Marshalls to tropical Eastern Pacific coast)
fish bears a strong resemblance to C. striatus, but may be
told apart by its redder color and more square caudal fin
profile. C. cyanoguttatus is a junior synonym for this
species. Not commonly collected, imported. Pic from Nuka Hiva,
Marquesas, Polynesia. |
